You told me if I didn't wear that shirt You would love me twice as much. So I avoided that shirt Until I willed to Send it to charity, Even though it was my favorite. Maybe you loved me A little more. Who knows? At least you loved me. You told me if I straightened my hair You would love me like rainbows Embrace color. So even though I hated Every moment of it, I made my unobedient hair Listen to me. I spent hour after hour Taming it, But you never seemed to notice. Maybe you loved me A little more. Who knows? At least you loved me. You told me if I left one friend You would love me like as We were rubber and glue. You had no idea How much it pained me to Leave her, But I wanted your love. Maybe you loved me A little more. Who knows? At least you loved me. You tole me if I was skinny You would love me so much more. So I only ate yogurt and salad And I puked every time I knew I ate too much. My jeans grew loose, And my skinniest t-shirts looked too big. Maybe you loved me A little more. Who knows? At least you loved me. You told me if I smoked You would love me like Jesus would. So I hid those cigarette packs From my parents Under my pillow. I'd turn to one every day after School. Maybe you loved me A little more. Who knows? At least you loved me. But when you flirt With that other girl, The one that was my best friend, And leave me here to die, I wonder if it was ever worth it. You guys, please post poems. I feel like the only one!
