Okay, this is an experiment contest to see if things will go smoothly. Good luck everyone! Cailey is on her way to graduation. Her parents are cheering for her. Her family has no internal problems. And she's graduating with honors. The next week she's leaving for her favorite sleepaway camp, where she has spent five summers at. Her boyfriend, a cute and smart guy, will write to her every day. She has NO problems. Your goal is to write 10 problems Cailey might experience this summer, and write one short story about your favorite problem. In this story, Cailey could be any kind of girl, and you can describe her as any way you want. Your only restrictions are that Cailey is not stupid, and she is at least semi-attractive. Entries will be judged on sensibility and originality of your ten problems, and creativity and plot of your short story. First place will recieve a free request to a drawing of their personal Cailey. Second place has the ability to choose the topic of the next contest. Third place will get a free pass to write two entries in the next contest they participate in. The due date is June 5th. Have fun, and good luck! This thread will be locked as soon as everyone that is registered onto this site has either replied with a or depending on whether they want to participate.

Where do we post the story, once we write it?

Start a new thread on the problem contest with your ten problems and the short story. Or you can make two posts and I can grade them seperately.

You know, you don't have to participate if you don't want to.

So apparently no one has submitted their entries. You have four days people.

I have it half written. I sort of forgot about it and never finished. Can I finish after finals? Or do you want me to PM you what I have done.

Well, since no one else has obviously done it, I declare you the winner. You remain Author of the Month for the rest of the summer and you get a drawing of your personal Cailey. Good job for actually writing something! I'll try again once June 5th has past.

Thanks! Cool! If anyone cares, I used the problem where she becomes really good friends with this guy in a wheelchair at camp, and her boyfriend gets jealous. The story is partially letters and partially memories.

YAY! Send me an email with the general characteristics of your Cailey and I'll send it to you. Or I'll give it to you at Savannah's House.
