Because techincally I don't want one. I should be Christian but I believe in Aethism.
And yet I haven't read the Golden Compass trilogy. Boy am I sad.

I should be Jewish but I am my own religion all together. My views are rather radical and I'm going to refrain from telling you guys, but they are interesting.

Yeah! That would be cool! For like a puppy dog face, or a cute face or something to that sort.

Hey, I'm on the Subtle Knife, and this series is killing me! Not as much as the Dark is Rising, but it's still killing me. The only thing I like so far is the alethiometer.

Oh see I disliked the first book and then didn't read the second two. But then again, I have not the curse of read-it-all such as you do. But yeah, no, the series killed me too. Lyra is a brat and none of the other characters are even mildly interesting except for Iorek. And even he lacks personality in my opinion and therefore is not all that PWNful. So yeah... I didn't like it either and sympathize with you having to finish them. Did anyone read Hoot yet?

I finished it in a day and got my mom hooked onto it. Iorek is pretty PWNsome. But yes, Lyra does annoy me to the ends of the world. Especially because one of the other characters said that if he had a child he's want half of Lyra's kindness and bravery.

Yay! Another Lyra hater! And I liked Hoot, and finished it in about four hours total. (spread over three days however) The characters were interesting enough, as was the plot. It was good, but at the same time extremely light, so I thought it was good.
